A similar vase is illustrated by R. Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, vol. 2, London, 1994, no. 938 and another was included in the exhibition, National Treasures - Gems of China's Cultural Relics, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 16 December 1997 - 1 March 1998, pp. 352-353, where it is noted that teadust glazes were first produced during the Tang dynasty and the wares were produced at the Yaozhou kilns. During the Ming and Qing dynasties teadust-glazed wares were revived at the imperial kilns at Jingdezhen where the glaze was known as 'Chang Guan glaze'. Because of different firing atmospheres during the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods the glazes were of a different color; those of Yongzheng date being more yellow in tone and those of Qianlong date more greenish.
