Another figure of this model, also bearing an incised He Chaozong mark, is illustrated by P.J. Donnelly, Blanc de Chine, New York, 1969, pl. 150 D. On p. 165, the author refers to this figure as exemplifying 'admirably the First Grade of Middle Life'.
