Baluster, the spreading circular base on an openwork gallery rim, the foot engraved with panels of foliage and applied with medallions chased with saints, rising to a tapering stem with openwork scroll knop, the body engraved with band of saints on a matted ground, the cupola-form cover engraved with Latin inscription and saints, the rim applied with openwork scroll gallery, surmounted by a finial formed as a pelican in her piety, marked under base
