Maker's mark Barnard Brothers, London, 1840
Comprising coffee pot, teapot, open sugar bowl and cream jug; each circular bomb form on four scroll and foliate feet, the lobed body chased and engraved with matted strapwork enclosing shells, foliage and diaperwork, the leaf-clad scroll handles with ivory insulators, the hinged domed cover with similar chased decoration and surmounted by a foliate calyx and flower finial, the interior of the sugar bowl and cream jug gilt, each marked under base and on cover; together with a pair of Victorian Scottish silver sugar tongs, Glasgow, 1858, marked on tongs
