A pair of Staffordshire creamware plates
of Wheildon type, each border moulded with diaper pattern C-scroll panels between herringbone-moulded section below a shaped rim, sponged in grey and splashed with green, blue, brown and ochre, the undersides sponged in brown, circa 1770 (minor scarcthes) -- 23.5cm. diam.
