Intricately inlaid en premire partie with a Brainesque designs, the top also with a central figure of a seated Queen surrounded by four hawks in mother-of-pearl, each corner also with an etched copper-inlaid figure of a hunter holding a mother-of-pearl hawk, the sides depicting monkies facing a central courtier, within a molded rim with later rocaille clasps corners above a central frieze drawer and a kneehole with door opening to a compartment, flanked on either side by three walnut-lined short drawers, the hipped canted corners inlaid en contre-partie, above conforming tapering legs joined by X-form stretchers on toupie feet
