Signed Masatomo, Meiji Period (19th Century)
The central panel decorated in Shibayama-style inlay depicting two herons in a stream surrounded by a blossoming cherry tree on which two birds are perched, the foliate rim pierced in fine filigree and inset with five fan-shaped gold ground panels with flowers, the reverse of all panels in hirame, signed silver plaque, some old wear and minor damage
