TWO KATANA AND TWO WAKIZASHI IN GUNTO KOSHIRAE
The first katana blade honzukuri, iorimune, koshi zori with extended chugissaki, itamehada, gunome hamon of nioi with nie, midare-komi boshi, ubu nakago, mei: Okishi Masatsugu kin saku kore, Showa ju-nananen shigatsu hi (1942), inscribed Higashikuni ke Gokamei San-shunen kinen, yo tetsu wo motte kore seiren [the third anniversary of the Higashikuni family's order, this was made of surplus iron], 27in. (69.6cm.); in a service mounting with a silver mon on the tsuka, with red Field Officer's tassel and documentation; the second blade honzukuri, iorimune, koshi zori with chugissaki, itamehada with ji-nie, midare hamon of ko-nie, hakikake boshi, ubu nakago, mumei, 16th century, 26in. (68.1cm.); in a service mounting with two ashi and a silver mon on the tsuka, with blue Company Officer's tassel; the third blade honzukuri, iorimune, deep koshi zori with chugissaki, itame with mokumehada and ji-nie, suguha hamon of nie with uchinoke, boshi obscure, o-suriage nakago, mumei (Osafune school), 17th Century, 20in.
