Two Svres matt-red-ground plates (assiettes plate) en suite to the preceding lot, painted with still life vignettes of butteflies above a griffon among columns and a chariot filled with a bow, quiver and lyre, the other with classical musical instruments, a ewer and a palm frond, both with borders of stylised leaves, green S.53 and S.56 mark, iron-red crowned N marks, incised marks, gilder's mark L.G. for L. Guyonnet to one, 1853 and 1856 (light rubbing, the second plate scratched) -- 24.2cm. diam. See colour plate 11 (2)
