An oak tridarn, North Wales, mid 18th century
of architectural form, the upper open section with broken triangular pediment and fronted with turned column supports and pierced scrolling spandrels, frieze with a row of cuphooks, the middle section with a dentil moulded top edge and three narrow frieze drawers, above three central drawers, the lowest inlaid with initials 'A.I.', flanked by arched panel doors and with outer reeded quarter columns below pendant finials, the lower section with a long frieze drawer above a small drawer and shaped panel, between arched panel doors and canted angles, on stile feet -- 50in. (128cm) wide, 75in. (191cm) high, 19in. (48cm) deep.

This Tridarn is an extraordinary example of individual craftsmanship, with much attention to detail and a very unusual arrangement of drawers.
