An oak panelled chest, North country, late 17th century
with a three panelled lid initialed 'W.B.', above a deeply carved rosette filled guilloche frieze and three panels below carved with rosettes and stylised foliage flanked by pine and bog oak chequer inlaid uprights and with a trailing foliate lower rail, on channelled stile feet -- 43in. (111cm) wide, 26in. (66cm) high, 20in. (51cm) deep.
