The tapering ovoid body painted in green and pale yellow enamel and iron-red with two phoenix in flight amidst a wide band of peony scroll, with an iron-red, dogtooth band below and a band of iron-red diaper interrupted by peony cartouches on the high shoulder above, all within line borders in pale underglaze blue, the mouth rim with a brown wash, some rim fritting--6½in. (16.5cm.) high
