A MASSIVE DEHUA BLANC-DE-CHINE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
TWO SEALS, 18TH CENTURY
Standing atop the head of a dragon rising from the wave base, with left arm folded across the right and holding a scroll, her flowing robes open at the chest to reveal a jeweled pectoral, her head turned slightly to her left, her hair pulled up into a high topknot which is partially hidden by her cowl and the tiara centered by Amitabha Buddha, the back impressed with a gourd-shaped Dehua seal and a puji yuren (fishermen) seal, firing cracks -- 33½in. (85cm.) high
