4 (192 x 153mm). Woodcut title border composed of 3 parts and typographic ornaments, woodcut arms of Moldavia and Wallachia on verso. (Light dampstain at lower margin, light stains in one leaf.) Contemporary calf over thin pasteboard, tooled in blind with single flower tool set into central lozenge, repeated at corner and centre of lower cover, (slight wear at board fore-edges, neat repair at head and foot of spine.) Provenance: title inscription.

BIBLE, New Testament, in ancient and modern Greek -- KAINH DIAQHKHi. Halle: 1710. 12 (152 x 82). Title printed in red and black, folding letterpress table following p.1106. Engraved frontispiece. (Some browning.) Contemporary vellum stained pink, elaborately tooled in gilt with crucifix surmounted by crown on sides, gilt spine with crown in compartments, edges gilt and gauffered, two fore-edge clasps (one clasp missing, rubbed, vellum torn in places). Provenance: Greek library stamp and cancellation. Darlow & Moule 1710; Legrand VIII, 66 (calling for 36pp. at the beginning, whereas the present copy has 22, with a further 26 at the end). (2)
