A Meissen (Marcolini) dark-blue-ground cup, cover and stand
with a key pattern handle and wreath and ribbon finial, painted in the manner of Johann Georg Loenig in sepia with a classical maiden and a winged putto with garlands of flowers, the cover with devices among clouds, within gilt roundels below tied ribbons and trailing blooms, the rim gilt with borders of interlinked roundels, blue crossed swords and star marks, indistinct Pressnummern, gilt N to footrim, circa 1780 (some minor rubbing to gilding)
