The present view is of Cheapside looking west with St. Mary-le-Bow on the left. The identification of the building on the left is somewhat confusing; it should be Mappin & Webb, built 1870 and demolished in 1994 to make way for James Stirling's Number One Poultry but it is not. Wood painted landscapes and townscapes and exhibited at the Society of Artists.
