A 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter celestial pocket globe made up of twelve engraved gores coloured yellow, the equatorial graduated in degrees and hours, the equinoctial and solstitial colures, line of celestial latitude and North and South declinations all graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with symbols, further showing the Circle of Perpetual Apparition at London (Tropic of Cancer) and the Circle of Perpetual Occulation at London (Capricorn), the constellations shown faintly as mythical beasts, figures and scientific instruments and named in Latin, the stars to several orders of magnitude, some labelled with Greek letters (some short, neatly repaired cracks and redrawing) with iron axis pins in turned fruitwood case, the domed lid with flat knop -- 4in.
