An officer's mess-jacket of the Black Watch (tailor's label to Melville 1933), the front with buttons and button-holes to top, black and buff silk collar (buff silk severely frayed), gold shoulder-cords as for Full Dress bearing embroidered badges of rank; another mess-jacket of an auxiliary battalion of the Black Watch, originally with ten white metal buttons in front, (now only bottom three remaining), gauntlet cuffs and blue cloth shoulder-straps; and another mess-jacket of the same regiment, also with black and buff silk collar, good quilted silk lining, only three buttons in front, blue cloth pointed cuffs and shoulder-straps with Captain's embroidered rank-stars; an officer's khaki Service Dress doublet with AA buttons of the Black Watch (traces of collar-badges, now removed); a Sergeant's good green No1 Dress doublet with blue skirt-turnbacks, AA buttons and collar-badges, and gold lace chevrons on right sleeve, together with a red worsted shoulder-sash; an officer's very good KC period blue serge undress doublet of the Seaforth Highlanders, by William Anderson, with high collar, brass buttons and gilt badges of rank; a officer's scarlet mess-waistcoat of the Gordon Highlanders, with mounted buttons; a Lieutenant-Colonel's post 1952 green No1 Dress doublet of the Cameron Highlanders, with blue cloth cuffs and skirt-turnbacks, twisted gold shoulder-cords (with scarlet lining) bearing embroidered badges of rank, and AA buttons (one missing); and a belted plaid of tartan (similar to MacDonell of Glengarry), with a crudely-cast white metal brooch.
