2nd Lieutenant Arthur Palmer Jay was killed in action in the Second Battle of the Somme on 21.3.1918 and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial. A Subaltern in the 2nd Reserve Regiment of Cavalry, he was attached to the 7th Battalion, Border Regiment at the time of his death.
