A Silver-Mounted Hanger
Circa 1770
With curved single-edged blade (some light pitting) double-edged towards the point and with broad central full-length fuller, cast and chased silver quillons, the tips formed as eagle-heads, the quillon-block pierced with lion on one side and a dragon on the other, silver pommel cast and chased as a lion's head, silver chain knuckle-guard (incomplete), and spirally fluted ivory grip stained green and bound with silver ribbon (loose), in original tooled leather scabbard with silver mounts
