The first 18th/19th Century, the second circa 1800
The first with swamped sighted barrel cut with seven grooves and inlaid with silver and brass at the breech and muzzle, bevelled lock engraved with a hunting scene and struck with maker's mark (cock replaced), figured walnut full stock (refinished, small repair by cheek-piece), chequered grip, raised cheek-piece, brass mounts including trigger-guard with finger rest and foliate finials, set trigger, steel sling swivels, and later wooden ramrod; the second with sighted barrels, rounded locks, one inscribed 'Lecrenier' on the bevel, rollers, walnut half-stock, chequered grip, some carving, raised cheek-piece, engraved steel mounts, and later ramrod (worn and pitted throughout)
