The first with swamped sighted barrel rifled with eight grooves, regulation lock with dog-catch and brass pan (steel refaced), full stock, raised cheek-piece, sliding patch-box cover, regulation brass mounts including trigger-guard with finger rest, and later steel ramrod; the second reconverted from percussion, with heavy sighted swamped octagonal barrel cut with eight grooves, patent breech, mount for peep-sight behind the tang, walnut full stock (some cracks, repaired at fore-end tip), raised cheek-piece, foliate engraved iron mounts, set trigger, sling swivels and later ramrod
