A 64-Bore German Percussion Target Rifle

With octagonal sighted barrel cut with nine grooves, inlaid with silver signature, inscription 'Guss Stahl', and two silver breech-lines, patent breech, long foliate engraved tang with mount for peep-sight (missing), tangent back-sight, engraved back-action lock (hammer replaced), walnut full stock, chequered grip, carved cheek-piece, engraved iron mounts including indented trigger-guard, set trigger, iron sling mounts, and later ramrod (pitted and refinished throughout)
