With etched twist octagonal sighted barrel signed at the breech, patent breech with three platinum lines and pierced platinum plug (nipple replaced), long engraved tang, signed detented back-action lock engraved with characteristic scrollwork, figured walnut half-stock (bruised, minor repairs), chequered grip, engraved steel mounts including patch-box cover, set trigger, silver fore-end cap and barrel-bolt escutcheons, steel sling eyes and later ramrod (some wear and pitting)
