With rebrowned twist octagonal barrel signed on the top flat, sighted to 200 yards, and cut with ten grooves, case-hardened patent breech with platinum line and plug, scroll engraved tang, signed scroll engraved detented lock engraved with a stag and a hind (safety-catch defective), figured walnut half-stock (cleaned), chequered grip, raised cheek-piece, iron mounts engraved with scrolls, red deer, and a boar, the trigger-guard with traces of original blued finish, set trigger, iron sling mounts, and original horn-tipped serial numbered ramrod (some wear and light pitting): in original lined and fitted mahogany case (some of the lining replaced) with numerous accessories, the lid (chipped and cracked) with trade label (oil-stained) and flush-fitting carrying handle, London proof marks
