With rebrowned twist barrels with later gold inscription '55 Strand, London' on the rib, and each with single gold line and gold-lined touch-hole at the breech, engraved tang, signed and engraved flat bevelled locks each with stepped tail, roller, semi-rainproof pan, and 'French' cock (one jaw-screw replaced), figured walnut half-stock, chequered butt, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, silver escutcheon, and brass-tipped ramrod (iron parts with some pitting, ramrod-pipe perhaps removed), Birmingham proof marks
