In the Mannerist taste, on four architectural rectangular and multi-scroll feet headed by lobed baluster finials, rising to a domed base with elaborately cast floral swags with heads between, chased with foliage and scrolling dragons alternating with grotesque masks, with removable lamp and cover with hinged cap, the globular kettle on two heraldic dragon supports holding a shield engraved with a crest, the body chased with panels of foliate scrolls, the hinged domed cover with conforming decoration and baluster ivory finial, with overhead multi-scroll handle, fully marked--18in. (45.7cm.) high
