Circular, on spreading circular base, the lower part of the bodies chased with fluting, with everted gadrooned rims over lion's heads with pendant ring handles, the removable waisted collars with gadrooned rims, with plain liners, engraved with a viscount's armorials, the collars with a crest and coronet, marked on bases, collars and liners--8 1/2in. The arms are those of Sackville, as borne by Charles, 2nd Viscount Sackville, born in 1767, the son of Lord George Sackville. He succeeded to his father's estate at Drayton in Northamptonshire in 1785 and succeeded his cousin as 5th Duke of Dorset in 1815. He died unmarried in 1843, aged 75.
