Lot Essay

The arms are those of Ricardo impaling those of St. Quintin, as borne David Ricardo of Gatcombe Park, Gloucestershire, born in 1803 who married June 1, 1824 Catherine, fourth daughter of William St. Quintin of Scampston Hall, Yorkshire. He died in 1864.
