Vase form, on spreading base chased with a band of gadrooning, the two scroll handles with applied beading and husks, the tapering cover with beaded rim and cast flame finial, the body engraved with earl's armorials, the cover engraved with a crest, applied under the base with a plaque engraved with a later presentation inscription, marked on base and cover--10 1/4in.
