TWO VICTORIAN SILVER TRAVELLING CANTEENS, both London, the first 1855-1857, makers marks of G. W. Adams and John Harris, each engraved with cypher and coronet, comprising a gilt lined beaker--4in. (10.7cm.) high, fitted with felt covered wood hinged cylindrical frame, the frame exterior fitted with bone handled folding steel knife, fork with corkscrew and spoon (losses to spoon handle), double spoon and corkscrew, interior opening to reveal a goblet, inset with detachable salt and pepper shaker (one unmarked), all nested in leather case with buckle--5½in. (13.9cm.) high, the second with leather canteen fitted with silver covered glass jar engraved for Butter, the top of the second cannister with three hinged wedge shaped covers engraved for salt, pepper and mustard, with two glass dishes, and one covered glass shaker--Wright & Davies, 1868, the leather canteen--4½in.
