A GERMAN SILVER TEAPOT AND A MATCHING AMERICAN TWO HANDLED SUGAR BOWL AND CREAM JUG, the teapot struck with prestige marks probably for Hanau, late 19th century, the American examples maker's mark of Gorham, 1900, no. 9934, (engraved under base Richmond Talbot from Mother 1900), each bullet shaped with swirled fluted corners, on spreading rim foot, two sides repousse and chased with bird alighting on a fruited branch, flowers above, the teapot (engraved with conforming inscription 1899), with part foliate scroll spout within flowers, scrolls and rocaille, with wood scroll carved handle, the side hinged flat cover chased with rocaille calyx and topped by fruit finial--the teapot 5in.
