We are grateful to Professor Mikls Boskovits for the attribution; Professor Boskovits notes that this picture is a companion piece to another fragment from the same altarpiece, representing Saints Nicholas and Reparata (or Lucy?), sold at Sotheby's, London, 1 March 1930, lot 55 (see M. Boskovits, Pittura Fiorentina alla vigilia del Rinascimento, Florence, 1975, fig. 486).
