A George III mahogany longcase clock, last quarter 18th century
The hood with carved rosettes to the swan neck pediment and blind fret carving to the cornices, outset fluted columns, the wavy top trunk door flanked by fluted three quarter pilasters, on plinth with chamfered front angles and later panel and raised on bracket feet (lacking to rear), the 13in. square brass dial with foliate spandrels to the brass chapter ring signed John Robinson DUNGANNON, silvered centre engraved with concentric calendar ring and leafy sprigs and swags, cut steel hands, later calendar hand, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; later cheek and seatboards, possibly associated -- 88in.
