AN INLAID CELADON CUP AND CUP STAND KORYO DYNASTY (12TH CENTURY)
The ten-lobed wine cup decorated on the exterior with inlaid black and white slip with flowersprays, beneath a thick, crackled and bubble-suffused celadon glaze; the associated stand decorated with an incised flowerhead and with carved lotus leaves, placed on an eight-lobed saucer set on a flaring foot, the lobes of the saucer decorated in inlaid slip with flower sprays, the well and foot decorated with incised patterns, beneath a thick, bubble-suffused celadon glaze-- overall height 5 3/4 in. (13.3 cm.), the cup diam. 3 in. (7.5 cm.), the stand diam. 5 1/2 in. (14 cm.)
