A George III salver,
circular with a cast border of gadrooning, interupted by alternating husks and shell motifs and resting on ball and claw feet, the centre engraved with a coat of arms* within a floral leafy scroll cartouche, by Ebenezer Coker, 1764 - 28cm dia, 23.75oz.
* Arms of Goyling impaling Guy. The same Guy arms are given for Thomas Guy (1645-1724), printer, MP, successful financer and philanthropist. Founder of Guy's hospital.
