The pierced three-quarter-galleried grey bardiglio marble top above three drawers and a cylinder enclosing a fitted interior with green leather-lined writing-slide, four further drawers and three pigeon-holes, the rear fitted with a green silk sliding-screen, on trestle-end supports joined by twin bar stretchers, splayed feet and castors, the interior of the superstructure drawers indistinctly inscribed in pencil fai (?) par Jos..., the underside of the slide inscribed fai (sic) par Joseph Franois Chevantrez
