A LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED JAPANESE RED AND GILT-LACQUER POT-POURRI VASE AND COVER
Circa 1740, the lacquer 18th century
Decorated overall with gilt cranes and foliage on a brick-red ground, the domed lid with foliate-cast finial and pierced lozenge frieze, on a mounted spreading base wrapped with leafy-stems and on gourd feet
8in. (20.5cm.) high, 5in. (14cm.) diameter
