Comprising two straight blades, the larger with ivory handle carved with a figure of Venus holding an apple and entwined with vines, both within a sheath carved with the date 1572 and with mythological figures representing the Judgement of Paris surmounting a coat-of-arms, the reverse carved with Cupid aiming his arrow, the base finial and smaller blade handle partially lacking, the blades with cutler's mark
