A RARE LARGE MOULDED DINGYAO DISH

The dish formed with gentle flaring sides, rising from a short slightly tapered footrim, the central medallion moulded with a pair of carp in a lotus pond, encircled by a ropework border and further surrounded in the well by large lotus blooms among foliage, the metal band later added

An identical bowl of this pattern is illustrated in Chinese Ceramics in the Idemitsu Collection, no. 81.
