A YUAN BLUE AND WHITE MODEL OF A SAMPAN

The sampan modelled with two figures seated under the canopy before a third figure perched over the cabin with arched windows, painted to the sides of the hollow hull with rows of dots below a chevron border, the bow with twin apetures, possibly serving as a spout, the flat base unglazed (glaze flakes, one boss restuck)

Compare with a very similar blue and white sampan included in the Hong Kong O.C.S. exhibition, Jingdezhen Wares, The Yuan Evolution, 1984, Catalogue, no. 112; a related yingqing model is also illustrated, no. 64.
