A leather-bound album, 9in. x 11in., now containing approximately 60 photographs circa 1875, some 30 of them showing field-guns, both ready for action and prepared for movement, water-crossing instructional exercises, probably at Chatham, involving movement of field-guns and heavy ordnance across rivers by crane or engineer-bridging; several groups of Gentleman-Cadets, both Royal Artillery and Royal Engineers, taken outside gun-sheds and elsewhere at the RMA Woolwich; two (somewhat damaged) showing the Senior and Junior Divisions of the Staff College, 1876, the officers in patrol-jackets and forage-caps; a fine portrait photograph of a Riding Master of the RHA in Full Dress, and another of a Colonel in braided frock coat; some topographical views, probably of Chatham; various groups in civilian clothes, and a view of an RE battalion on parade at Chatham in Full Dress, with band in bearskins and white tunics
