An Officer's Chapka of the 9th Lancers
An extremely fine cap, with richly-gilt fittings and plate (as KK 720), the KC Royal Arms with twin shields above the reversed AR cypher in white metal, scrolls bearing battle-honours to SOUTH AFRICA 1899-1902, leather internal headband and crimson silk lining (silk element of lining detached and partly replaced), complete with its fine black-over-white swans' feather plume in gilt socket; together with a Trooper's horsehair plume of the same regiment, in a brass socket
