Sold with a quantity of original documentation, including the recipient's 'Soldiers Small Book', parchment Certificate of Discharge, and two portrait photographs.

Colour-Sergeant Thomas Brown enlisted at Dublin aged 19 years and after nearly 22 years with the Colours, including service in the Transvaal during the First Boer War of 1880-81, he was discharged in January 1888.
