Sold with a quantity of original documentation and other family awards, the former including the recipient's Commission Warrant for the rank of Temporary 2nd Lieutenant and a Home Guard Certificate of Service for the period May 1940 until December 1944; and the latter a Memorial Plaque to Stephen Arthur Herbert Codd (a 2nd Lieutenant, attached 10th Gloucestershire Regiment, who was killed in action on the Western Front on 9.9.1916), a Special Constabulary Faithful Service, G.V.R. to Ernest A. Codd and a Lusitania Medal.

M.C. London Gazette 10.1.1917 'For conspicuous gallantry in action. He displayed great courage and determination during the consolidation of the position, and by skilful handling of his guns was instrumental in repelling two counter attacks'.
