Lot Essay

Born at Douai in 1847, Edouard Houssin (d. 1917) was a pupil of Millet and Jouffroy. From 1873 to 1914, he exhibited at the Salon where he was awarded several Medals.

He conceived his figure of Esmeralda in 1883.
