The original, dated 1629, and inscribed with the sitters name on the reverse, on panel, 71.5 x 55.5 cm, is in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (see P.J.J. van Thiel, All the Paintings of the Rijksmuseum, etc, 1976, p.237, no.A1781).
