[c.1930] A 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter terrestrial library globe made up of twelve colour printed paper gores, the equator graduated in degrees, the oceans faintly showing steamship routes with distances in nautical miles and ports of arrival and departure, the continents with nation states delicately coloured in shades of yellow and showing rivers, mountain ranges, cities and towns (neat restorations all over, some redrawing, some loss of detail to China), with brass meridian circle divided in four quadrants, the papered horizon graduated in degrees in two directions, days of the month and days of the houses of the Zodiac, with compass directions, the apparent path of the sun with notable stars, and symbols for the houses of the Zodiac also shown, the rim painted red (extensive but neat restorations, some redrawing), on four mahogany quadrant supports to central column of tulip form with three inswept legs terminating in castors (stand possibly later) -- 36in.
