GEOGRAPHICAL PUBLISHERS 30 CHURCH ST NEW YORK CITY Printed in Great Britain [c.1924] A 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter terrestrial library globe made up of twelve colour printed paper gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the eclipitc graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with symbols, the oceans with an analemma and showing steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distances in nautical miles, the continents with nation states outlined in red and delicately shaded in green and yellow, showing towns, cities, railway lines, rivers and mountains, Leningrad with (Petrograd) beneath (areas of discolouration and abrasion with some small paper loss) with moulded bronze meridian circle, the oak horizon with colour printed paper ring graduated in degrees, hours, days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac (some fading), raised on a semi-circular support to tall thin bronze column with barley-twist decoration on circular plinth base with four lion's paw feet -- 45½in.
