An oak four poster bedstead, French, 19th cenury
In the early 16th century style, the draped frieze hung with braided and thread material, the headboard with four panels carved with a fleur-de-lys type motif, a grotesque crowned mask, a weavers shuttle crowned and a lion/demon head, all between spirally moulded posts centred with floral carved tablets, the end posts profusely carved with stylised foliage and Gothic panel supports, joined by side rails with drapes, the bedspread and accompanying cushions with tekke borders, with boxspring and mattress
